The Ransom Firm is familiar with justice. Philip F. Ransom and Damany F. Ransom are third- and fourth-generation attorneys, respectively. The legacy started in 1910 when Freeman Ransom finished law studies at Columbia University. Freeman started his own law firm and represented Madam C.J. Walker, the black haircare pioneer who is said to be the first female American self-made millionaire. Freeman was followed by Willard Ransom, who graduated Harvard Law School as the only African American in his graduating class. Willard worked for decades as a civil rights attorney and civic activist.

The Ransom Firm follows in those footsteps.
